2.  Open-Source Tools for Research:  MMEdu, open-source tool, innovated based on OpenMMLab is available for all the participants.

3.  Top Research Projects and Faculty Strength: Certifications will be issued after completing top-level AI research projects with AI researchers from prestigious universities, such as Shanghai Jiao Tong University, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fudan University, ShanghaiTech University, and every student is going to take one-on-one tutoring.

Summer Camp Organization

AI Future Summer Camp is organized by Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and hosted by Global AI Academic Alliance (GAIAA) and supported by SenseTime. This summer camp combines cutting-edge research topics and mentors from laboratories, universities and enterprises, assisting students with advanced practices in science and innovation.

 

Summer Camp Faculty Strength

 

 

Dahua Lin

Dahua Lin is a specialist in computer vision and machine learning, the associate Professor at the department of Information Engineering, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the professor of Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory .

He primarily focused on deep learning and its applications on high-level visual understanding, cross-domain modeling, and big data analytics. He has published over 120 papers on top international conferences and journals, such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, NeurIPS, and T-PAMI. His research on a new construction of Bayesian nonparametric models has won the best student paper award in NIPS, the most prestigious conference on machine learning, in year 2010. He received the outstanding reviewer awards in ICCV 2009 and ICCV 2011. In addition, he also serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Computer Vision (IJCV).

 

Cewu Lu

Cewu Lu is a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). His research interests fall mainly in Computer Vision, deep learning, deep reinforcement learning and robotics vision. Before he joined SJTU, he was a post doctor student at Stanford University working with Prof. Fei-Fei Li. Cewu has been selected as MIT TR35 by "MIT Technology Review”. He serves as an reviewer for Journal Science, Nature.

 

Zuoru Xie

Zuoru Xie works as a consultant from the department of Innovative education and Technology of Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Director of Zhejiang Wenzhou secondary school AI lab, Teacher of Zhejiang "Ten Thousand People Plan", Deputy director of Chinese Institute of Electronics Education Technology Branch, Executive director of China Association for Education Technology, Editor-in-chief in Information Technology Education Committee for secondary schools of Zhejiang Education Publication. He is also the deputy editor-in-chief of the information technology textbook group, editing "one-stop teaching research" of Tsinghua University.

Stage 2. Online Course and Assessment

Course Duration:  11th  July – 17th July, Online

Course Contents Lectures held by scientists from Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Dialogues with Shanghai Jiao Tong University experimental class, Introduction to Deep Learning, Image Category Classification in Deep Learning, Solving real-world problems by Artificial Intelligence.

Teaching Team: Scientists from Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Professors from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Technology and Education Experts in the AI field

Assessment Time: 18th July -24th July

Assessment Type: CV, Assessment, Interview

Fee: Free course with board and lodging excluded
